If there's one thing Nashville knows how to do, it's throw a party. We've decided to take the biggest one of the year and spread it out over 3 days! We're offering free live music, family fun and incredible fireworks all weekend long. All events are free. All are at Riverfront Park. And all are where you want to be. So, come early. Stay late. Friday, July 2nd General Jackson Showboat 25th Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate the General Jackson Showboat's 25th Anniversary! Take an excursion cruise down the Cumberland River for just $8! Walk the boat, cruise the river and have some birthday cake and punch. RSVP for an excursion cruise here. Chuck Wicks is playing a free concert that night and fireworks will close the show.

A Prelude to the 4th
Get geared up for the big day with A Prelude to the 4th. Festivities and family fun begin at noon on the 3rd. Julianne Hough will play a free concert that night. Fireworks will shoot into the air immediately following the concert.

Music City July 4th: Let Freedom Sing!
The big day. Pick your spot on the Riverfront lawn and have fun with the family on Lower Broad with inflatables, giveaways and plenty of food, drink and souvenirs. The music starts at 2pm with Jordyn Shellhart, Calico Trail, Damien Horne and Jessie James. It goes on into the evening with Jaci Velasquez, Julianne Hough and Trace Adkins. You can't miss the amazing fireworks choreographed to the sounds of the Grammy-winning Nashville Symphony playing on the banks of the lovely Cumberland River.

1. Can I bring a cooler into the event?
Family-size coolers are not allowed in the park.

2. Will there be food and drinks available for purchase?
Yes, food and beverage vendors will be on location at 12 noon. There will be a Beer Garden in the park. All patrons must show proper ID to enter.

3. Can I bring my umbrella to shade me from the sun?
Umbrellas will be permitted as space allows unless it obstructs the view of other patrons.

4. Is there seating available?
Lawn seating is available to everyone. Small seat cushions/ground chairs are allowed. Tall lawn/camping chairs are not allowed.

5. If I leave, can I come back into the event?
Yes, this event is free and open to the public to enjoy.

6. Is smoking allowed at Riverfront Park? Are there smoking sections?
Smoking is permitted throughout Riverfront Park.

8. Can I take pictures or video at the festival?
Personal cameras are permitted. No audio recorders, video or professional cameras will be permitted.

9. What personal items will I be prohibited from bringing into the festival?
Patrons may not enter the venue with alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, fireworks, weapons or dangerous devices of any type.

Please Note:

All food and drinks brought to the park must be in clear, see-through containers.
No tall lawn/camping chairs. Small seat cushions and ground chairs are allowed.
If you bring an umbrella, you may be asked to take it down if there is not enough space. Do not obstruct the view of other patrons.
To insure the safety of all July 4th spectators, personal watercraft will only be allowed on the outside of the bridges (Shelby Street & Woodland Street) after 8:30 p.m. – 30 minutes before the fireworks begin.
